Last Minute Christmas Preparations

Last Minute Christmas Preparations

1. Plan with the family or friends (or whoever you’re planning to spend Christmas with)
Start a group chat and include everyone in the family. Make sure that you’re not missing out anyone. Ask for everyone’s availability and set a date and time for everyone’s convenience. Note: Be strict with your schedule. Christmas is coming soon! Really soon!

2. Delegate tasks
Make sure everyone contributes something. From food to drinks. List it down and send a photo of the list in the group chat.

3. Surface clean your home.
There’s definitely no time to do any deep cleaning now and the best you can do about it is to focus on the essential. Do the basics: vacuum, mop and spray. Vacuum and mop the floor and all visible corners. Spray a deodorizer. Hint: You should probably light up some candles too, I love the Christmas selection form Yankee candles. This would really put you in the Christmas mood. Also while you’re at it, play yourself some Christmas songs.

4. Pick the easiest recipe in your cookbook.
All the Christmas cookies and treats in the supermarket are most probably sold-out. So dig your grandmother’s hidden recipe book and find the easiest one with lesser ingredients or the most basic ones.

5. Wrap gifts as you buy them.
If you happen to have extra time to buy gifts, take advantage of the shop’s free gift-wrapping services. It’s a real life-saver!

6. Eat, drink and be merry.
Not everything you plan goes well. But that’s alright, enjoy the company of your family, friends and loved ones. Christmas is all about giving, not just gifts but a smile or a hug makes up for it as well.
