Guest Policies

A Banquet is an event that requires a separate space and or separate service staff. All Banquet Clients will be required to order from our published banquet menus or have a customized menu developed to suit their needs. A Member Banquet is an event that is held by a member for themselves, family or business. The member’s account or business account would then be billed for all charges incurred. Non-Members will be required to pay a deposit and then billed for all charges incurred.

FOOD- All food items must be supplied and prepared by the Club, with the exception of Wedding cakes that have been commercially prepared. A $30 fee will be charged for the service of cutting and serving the Wedding cake. Guests will not be permitted to remove food and beverages from the Club due to license restrictions. Menu planning, room set-ups and other pertinent details must be arranged at least 14 days in advance. All food and beverage items and services are subject to the 16% Service Charge for members, 18% Service Charge for non-members and applicable sales taxes.

BEVERAGE - The La Crosse Country Club as a licensee is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages within the Wisconsin State Legislative Commission regulations. No beverages of any kind will be permitted to be brought into the Club by the Client, other guests or invitees from the outside.

ROOM RENTAL (Limited Food) - Room rental for limited or non-food functions is required. Limited food is defined as coffee breaks, continental breakfasts, etc. Founder’s Room $75.00, Grill $100.00, Lounge $150.00, Main Dining Room $225.00 or entire Main Floor of Club $400.00.

GUARANTEE POLICY - The Club must have a specified attendance number three working days prior to the event. This number will be considered a guarantee, not subject to reduction and charges will be made accordingly. The Club will charge for the guarantee, or the number served, whichever is greater. If no guarantee is received we will consider the number of guests initially indicated on the banquet function contract as the guarantee.

DECORATIONS - The Club will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floor or ceiling with nails, staples, carpet tape or other substance. Our Staff is available to assist you with decorating and setting place cards or other items at the table sets. There may be additional fees for these special requests.

ENTERTAINMENT - Band or D.J. should be instructed to contact the Club directly so that electrical requirements may be properly arranged and charges discussed. If we are not contacted five working days prior to the event, the guest will be responsible for all charges. Any electrical requirements above normal will be charged to the Client.

LOST AND FOUND - The Club cannot be responsible for damage or loss of any articles or merchandise left in the Club prior to or following your function. The Club is not responsible for items missing from the coat room and/or any other public space.

ENGINEERING AND AUDIO VISUAL - Special engineering requirements must be specified to the Club at least five working days prior to the function. Audio-Visual requirements are the responsibility of the client.

LIABILITY - The Club reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. Liability for damage to the premises will be charged accordingly. The Club cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought on the premises.

ROOM RENTAL FEE(Non Member) - A Room Rental Fee is necessary to hold the Clubhouse space. Space in the Clubhouse is not confirmed until the Room Rental Fee is received. The amount of the fee is based on the expected number of people attending the function: (2-25 people) $125.00 charge, (26-75 people) $200.00 charge, (76 or more people) $400.00 charge.

DEPOSIT (Member) - A deposit is necessary to hold the clubhouse space. This deposit will be applied towards the final bill. The amount of deposit is based on the expected number of people attending the function. Deposit schedule: (25 people) $125.00, (75 people) $200.00, (76 or more) $400 deposit.

CANCELLATIONS - The Client agrees to notify the Club at least 120 days in advance to cancellation in writing or the Room Rental Fee / Deposit will be forfeited.

BILLING - The Client is responsible for paying all charges incurred. Deposit of 50% for food is due thirty days prior to the event. The balance is due three days before the event with the number guarantee. A credit card number will be kept on file for any beverage and/or other charges. These charges will be billed to the credit card the day of the event.

DAMAGE - Client assumes responsibility for any and all damages caused by it or any of its guest, invitees or other person attending the function, whether in rooms reserved, or in any other part of the Club.
