Junior Golf
Our Junior Program is designed to make learning golf both enjoyable and educational. It includes both practice and playing time, individual and group lessons. Swing fundamentals, rules and etiquette are all covered. Juniors are organized into groups, and youngsters move up as they progress. There are weekly events on Junior Day with plenty of variety and challenge. A lifetime of enjoyment is our primary goal.
Children of golfing members who are turning six years of age within the year or older are eligible to participate in the Junior Golfers Program. NOTE: Children younger than Junior Golfers may not play or be on the course or practice facility at any time unless accompanied by an adult member. Junior Golfer who regularly play complete 9 or 18-hole rounds may be added to the roster for WSGA Handicap computation. This paragraph is not intended to change the requirements regarding membership for entry in the Club events.
The Junior Golf Program takes place on Wednesday mornings during the months of June and July. Junior golfers are placed into groups based upon the number of holes they play and their ability level. Group lessons are conducted first on Wednesday mornings and the juniors are then sent onto the course to play. Parent volunteers are needed to assist the younger golfers on the golf course.
